1. What data we collect

When you create an account and use goat grids, we collect the following types of information:

• Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored as an encrypted hash, never in plain text).
• Profile information — biography, location, skills, credits, experience level, availability, and any other details you add to your profile.
• Media files — profile photos, showreels, audio reels, and any other media you upload to the platform.
• Usage data — pages you visit, searches you perform, applications you submit, and how you interact with the platform. This helps us improve the service.
• Communications — messages you send to other users or to productions through the in-platform messaging system.

2. How we use your data

We only use your data for the following purposes:

• Providing the service — creating and displaying your profile, processing applications, and connecting talent with productions.
• Matching talent with productions — making your published profile discoverable in search results so productions can find you.
• Email notifications — sending you updates about your applications, messages, invitations, and subscription. You can manage notification preferences from your Settings page.
• Platform improvements — understanding how users navigate the platform so we can fix issues and build better features.

3. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We share data only with the following trusted service providers that help us run the platform:

• Cloudinary — we use Cloudinary to store and deliver your uploaded photos and videos. Your media files are hosted on their secure servers.
• Email delivery — we use a transactional email provider to deliver notification and account emails to you.
• Hosting infrastructure — our servers are hosted on cloud infrastructure. All data is stored securely and access is strictly controlled.

We do not share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for marketing purposes.

4. Profile visibility

Published talent profiles are visible to all visitors of goat grids, including productions searching for talent. You control this — you can set your profile to Private at any time from your profile settings, which removes it from public search results. Draft profiles are only visible to you.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and media within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records for a longer period. Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your rights

You have the following rights over your personal data:

• Access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — you can update your profile information at any time from your Settings page. For other corrections, contact us.
• Deletion — you can delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete Account. You can also email us to request deletion.
